Very delicious breakfast well worth the money!

Cheap and well made food I would go again breakfast is worth it.

Omgoodness!!! The place was packed, we sat at the bar. We gave our order and noticed that the pick up counter was full of plates to be gotten and like magic they were cleared off and stacked again. We had our food in no time flat. Refills plenty and smile with all. You could tell who was in charge, but not needing to say a word. The girls all had a place and helped each other out. Amazing Breakfast. This is a must stop for breakfast. Thank you for a memorable meal. ♡♡

Oh my God. What an amazing place! My girlfriend and I went here on a busy Saturday morning, and were seated and eating within 15 minutes! The food was great, with big portions at low prices. We'll be back tomorrow!

It was really good! Got there midmorning, a group of us,& only waited a few minutes for a table. Good amount of food for the $$! Service was good, and bathrooms were clean! We'll go there again!

The food and service was great and the southern skillet was really filling (and yes I'm a fairly big guy so...yeah)

Ate here for the first time wasn't impressed at all hash browns were basically heated though with a carmaled top. Waitesss wasn't friendly either.

Great place in an unexpected place. 6 to 10 bucks goes a long way here. Top notch service with a smile. I shall return.

Great find in downtown Dubuque! The food was amazing!!! I eat breakfast a lot and this was only the 2nd place to ever get my over medium eggs PERFECT! I mean perfect. The Hillbilly Skillet was divine. We were in town for an event but if/when we come back to Dubuque, we will come back to Sunshine.

Stopped by after reading good reviews and was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and quick and the food is exactly the kind of home cooking we were looking for. Our food came out hot and quickly!

It was very fast and good quality delicious food at a low price. It's run by a family and has a great cozy and homely feel about it. Would highly suggest going there

busy place but got us in quick. had booster seat for my little girl. good food. (chicken in the fajita skillet could use a little more season but overall a good meal). Kept the coffee coming. Great breakfast place without a doubt.

This might be the hardest little cafe to find, but worth the effort! Wonderful home cooking cafe with extremely reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere; free parking on the north side of the building. Good coffee and free refills.

I've lived in Dubuque almost my whole life. When ever there was a family gathering, our first place that we picked to go to for breakfast was Sunshine. I definently recommend this diner if you're looking for some old fashioned homemade food. I recommend trying the skillets, for sure!The staff are always nice and polite, and its genuinely my favorite diner in the state.

Great food,great service, awesome atmosphere

Service was super fast and our waitress was great, wish I could give it a higher rating, but... the manager on shift was awful to the staff, even swore at one waitress in front of us. The food was straight out of a frozen box, and the window box next to our booth was quite dirty. Really liked the waitresses, but everything else was disappointing.

I love the Sunshine Family Restaurant - it is a weekend staple for me. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street and saw this place out of the window when we got up the next morning. Decided to give it a try since it was walking distance and we were in a rush. The seating area looked full when we walked in the door, but we were seated immediately. A quick browse of the menu and we placed the order. Food arrived at the table before I finished my first cup of coffee. And it was amazing! One of the best skillet breakfasts I've had. Waitress was super friendly and kept our coffee topped off the entire time we were there. Will definitely return next time we are in town.

I was visit Dubuque for a work trip and ate breakfast here twice. The food was very affordably priced and really good. I would return here again. the Biscuits & Gravy hit the spot.

A very good family owned family restaurant. Casual atmosphere. Breakfast served all day. Large portions with reasonable prices. The quality of food is above average. Management and staff do need CS training but tolerable.

I've only ever eaten breakfast here. They are all very good. Service is top notch.

Busy restaurant, but our party of 6 was seated in less than 5 minutes. Attentive, excellent service. Our waitress was a pro. Delicious, fresh food at extremely reasonable prices.Highly recommend!

A good little diner. Busy and bustling. Had a tasty ny strip and three perfectly poached eggs. Coffee was full and hot. Waitress delivered just the right amount of attention. I liked the idea of leaving tip at counter while paying the ticket as well.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! Food EXCELLENT! Service EXCEPTIONAL! It is unbelievable how quickly they get your order out. 5 of us travel through for work once a month and this place is a MUST stop! No matter how busy they are they get you in and out in no time. Love, love, love this resteraunt!

I'm disabled and it was very different to navigate through the tables. My food wasn't even warm and when I saw the kitchen the cooks had a lot of food already made on the back stove and was trying to keep it warm. Then my plate with my toast had a hair on it yuck... There was a customer behind me cussing mf this and mf that. The employees didn't seem to mind even through other customers did .Then when I was paying the employee was eating while taking my money while talking with her mouth full. Very rude..
